Fulham v Brighton & Hove Albion: Premier League Preview

Two of the Premier League’s struggling teams meet at Craven Cottage tonight, to slug it out for three vital points in England’s top flight.

Both Fulham and Brighton will feel aggrieved to be as low down the Premier League table as they are. Unfortunately for Scott Parker and Graham Potter’s sides, a lack of cutting edge and defensive lapses have seen them lose out on vital points in the chase for survival.

Fulham were fantastic at the weekend, holding champions Liverpool to a draw at Craven Cottage. Brighton have put in performances this season that have warranted a higher points total than the ten they find themselves with.

With almost one third of the Premier League season played, Parker and Potter will be buckling up for a relegation scrap, and the three points on offer on Wednesday could help deliver an early blow to their potential relegation rivals.

Brighton have lost just one of their last seven games against Fulham, scoring at least two goals in their last seven league games against the Cottagers.

But the Seagulls have a dismal Premier League record when playing in London. Brighton have just three wins in the capital, with the short trip up the M23 forcing 10 defeats and five draws.

Brighton’s two league wins this season have come away from home though, and with Fulham keeping just one clean sheet so far in the Premier League, the visitors will fancy their chances at Craven Cottage.

Kenny Tete and Terence Kongolo will miss out for Fulham, but Parker will be happy to see Aleksandar Mitrovic return to fitness. The Serbia striker has three Premier League goals in his last two appearances against the Seagulls.

Brighton arrive in West London with Tariq Lamptey and Adam Lallana available for selection.
